Thinners and Solvents
Chlorinated Hydrocarbons
The chlorinated hydrocarbons are strong solvents for oils, waxes, and grease. Many of them are extremely poisonous. The artist should check the labels of any commercially prepared brush cleaners or paint removers to see if they contain these hazardous materials. [p. 42]
